WEEK 10
This we have no class due to public holiday. But we are required to create a professional website for a classmate. The client will decide of setting the project goals and providing all the content for the site. The designer is responsible for all other aspects of the site.
We are required to develop minimum of 5 Unique Pages of a Website. The Website should use valid XHTML and using external CSS. The content must use original text and original graphic design*. The website should not have broken links and properly use of HTML Tags.
My partner for this project was Rachel Li Hoi Yan. After discussion, I started to design the microsite design in Photoshop.

WEEK 11
Below was the proposal I had prepared for my client.

Lecturer's Feedback :
Make sure I had so many content to fill in the blank. The design is clean and simple. All the pages work, I can start to work the microsite design in Dreamweaver.
WEEK 12
I started to work on the microsite design. As the lesson I had learned from Project 1, every time I type in the code I double check the outcome. If there is an issue I will delete immediately and retype in again. This time, my code in Dreamweaver is much more neatly.

I downloaded all the images that I think can use in the webpage and started to work on the first and second HTML. Below is my first outcome.
Maybe I could change the 'FAQ's' page to 'Experiences' and the 'Work with us' page to 'Collaborates'. No other problem I can continue to work on it.
WEEK 13
I have done all the 5 pages and this time it works well. I'm very happy with my outcome.

Lecturer's Feedback :
The row and column in the 'About' page I could set it to responsive rather than the boxes become smaller when minimized the window. Overall was good.
WEEK 14
Finally, after checking many times to confirm all codes are working, my final project have completely done without any big issues. I'm very happy with my final outcome.
REFLECTION
Experiences : I learned HTML in my high school when I was 16 years old. When I realized that we have this module, I was a little bit excited but worried because I'm afraid that I will mix up all the coding and couldn't come out with a nice work. But actually I'm quite interested in HTML and CSS coding. I faced many problem in Project 2 and this caused me to lose confident. Although the result wasn't what I had expected from Project 1, but I really tried my best and used a lot of time to fix all the problem. The most important thing that I had learned from this project is I must do things within the scope of ability. At first I tried to come out with some creative and difficult design but after trying many times, I started to regret for my Project 1 design. However, I really tried my best for the project 2. I used almost 2 weeks and rework almost 4 times to fix the issues. Last but not least, Thank you Mr. Lun for helping me so much !
Observations : Actually, I don't think coding is very complicated. After this few weeks, I realized that coding are fixed, if you understand how the code works, it wasn't too difficult to create a good microsite. I found some interest in learning HTML and CSS because it was fun and interesting. Although we need a lot of time to explore and understand its use but I believe that it will be fun after I'm very familiar with all the coding. We have to practice more and create more microsite to improve our knowledge. On the other hand, if we memorize all the coding by rote, it will be useless and maybe our brain will stuck. As a conclusion, practice makes perfect !
Findings : Compared with other module, I think this module wasn't very tough and stress for me. We always have enough time to complete all the projects and exercises. Lecturers were indeed really kind and patience to help everyone with our issues in the tasks. Other than that, the most helpful website that helps me to finished all the project and exercises successfully is W3shcools.com. This really is a very useful website for every beginner to learn interactive design. As a conclusion, I won't stop learning coding although I'm not going to take graphic design or new media. Thank you Mr. Shamsul and Mr. Lun to build my interest in Interactive Design. Their patience and kind I will always engraved in my mind.
