IDEATION AND DESIGN

11/02/2021 ( Week 6 ) 

Based on the acquired data and analysis, we need to produce 5 ideas for the design. Each idea is to be supported by a short rationale. The solution must be in a visual design form, be it in 2D or 3D and optionally with sound. The visual and textual language that we project in the design must be relevant to the culture we are framing to study in.
We had discussed to share out the work. Each groupmates need to choose one idea and design the final output. I chose to work on the educational tea set design, including 1 teapot, 2 teacups, 2 aroma cups and 1 tea lotus.

I started to download some mockup from online and used the illustration elements from the tea set packaging design. At first, our idea is to print the illustration of the tea ceremony so consumers who buy the tea set will slowly learn the culture, regardless of their ethnicity. But after the consultation class with Ms. Jnchi, we decided to design a manual card to teach them the making tea process and ceremonies. The tea set will only printed with some leaves illustration.

After Jia Yang had done his part, I asked him to send me his illustration elements for the tea set design. Below is my first outcome :

I sent my first design of teapot to my groupmates to ask them which color they think was more suitable. After some discussion, we decided to go with the third one but should add more blue color for the illustration otherwise it will be too pinkish. As a result, below is my final outcome :

After I had done designing the tea set. I tried to edit them into the packaging box designed by Jia Yang. I downloaded the final output and used Photoshop to edit them.

Jia Yang and me don't feel like this is working because it wasn't realistic enough. Therefore, he helped me to reedit again and we are very happy with the final outcome.

18/02/2021 ( Week 7 ) 

After everyone had done their work. We had a discussion in Miro and do the slide together for the final presentation on 4/3/2021. We created the presentation slide in Google slide and out everything into it. Below is our presentation slide :

4/3/2021 ( Week 9 )

Today is our presentation day. Lecturers had announced that we need to create 2 sets of slides, presentation slide and final compilation for the submission. Everything need to be done before 5pm. We quickly created the final compilation slides for the submission.

Lecturer's Feedback :

We did a great job ! Everything was detailed enough and really attracted them to drink tea. Our presentation was very nice too. Good Job !

Reflection :

I was very happy and thankful to having a nice and responsible groupmates. Everyone did well in their work. With our perfect collaboration, we had done a good work that are very attraction. Thanks for our lecturer Ms. Jinchi. However,  She really helped us a lot on our work. I am very thankful to have Ms. Jinchi as our lecturer to motivate us on our work for this semester. THANK YOU EVERONE ! <3
