Week 1 / Module Briefing :
Today is our first class of this module. Lecturer had brief us the MIB and task that we need to show next week.

DRAFT DISSERTATION
For the first project, we need to utilize primary and secondary data to write an in-depth evaluation, no less than 7000 words, that critically analyses and discusses the research problem and arrive at a conclusion.
Week 1 ( 01/04/2021 )
Today we were briefed and introduced to what this module is about and how this module is an advancement of the previous semester's module which is Design Research Methodology.
Firstly, We need to create a folder in Google Drive named as DIS60304MARCH-JULY2021_Thursday_(name) and share it with Dr. Hayati. The folder inside needs to include three folders which are draft dissertation, completed dissertation and journal. For this week task, we need to create the matrix table and table of contents. I started to write in Google docs. as much as I can following the contents provided in MIB.

- Progression sheet's item column should be in bullet style.
- Separate matrix and draft dissertation into two files.
- Identify the themes for literature review.
Week 2 ( 08/04/2021 )
I had gone through all the files given in TEAMS and Google Classroom and did some research on how to write a literature review because I still wasn’t very sure yet. Besides that, I moved my matrix table to excel sheet and revised the draft dissertation.

Lecturer's Feedback :
I should include the working title for the draft dissertation. Besides that, Don’t elaborate literature review with the early stage. We can't mix British and American spelling. Other than that, should have an Introduction section before we start to work on other sections. Reconsider should have one or more sub-section for one section. Place all the articles I had evaluated to the matrix table.
Week 3 ( 15/04/2021 )

Dr. Hayati had mentioned how to structure our Literature Review and how to cross-compare through the themes. It is also mentioned that the dissertation should be in third person.
Week 4 ( 22/04/2021 )
We must finish Section 2, Literature Review and submit it on Sunday. After finishing this section, we should start to write sections 1,3 and 4. Section 3 needs to be submitted by this Sunday (25/4). However, I had done section 3 but haven’t started section 4 yet. Below are my third draft :

I need to write all the default items in the progression sheet. Besides that, Dr. Hayati suggested adding 2.1.2 Composition / (related Graphic). The working title had a grammar mistake, and should change it to Realism of Visual Effects. For section 2, we should cut and paste, paraphrase then conclude it. My literature reviews are still too brief. Lastly, watch all the recorded lectures and files given in Google Classroom.
Week 5 ( 29/04/2021 )
After receiving feedback from Dr. Hayati, I added one more sub-section (2.1.2 Compositing) in section 2. Besides that, I started to write section 3 which is the Findings part. However, this week is a public holiday but we should continue with the expected writing for section 4&5.

Despite the public holiday, Dr. Hayati had given feedback for week 5 and 6 in week 6. However, refer to week 6 comment, section 4 should change the name to research findings. The table should be named as table 4.1 not table 1.0. Besides that, need to be indicated and more descriptive. Moreover, the subtitle for section 5.2 should be rethought.
Week 6 ( 06/05/2021 )
I had continued to finish the section 4 & 5 as mentioned in Google Classroom. After finishing these two sections, I continue to write acknowledgement, abstract and conclusion following the slides and recorded videos posted in Google Classroom and Teams, since the deadline for draft dissertation is this Sunday (9/5/2021).

General Feedback :
-Avoid using by, for, from etc to start a sentence.
-We can type out the number when it is used in percentage. Other than that, numbers need to be spelled.
Specific Feedback :
-Research of operation framework should be included in the table of content.
- List of figures need to be added.
-Section 1.4 needs to be added., examples like research themes.
- Section 3 was too brief, can add the sample of appendices or table that incorporated in section 3.
- Describe what is fig 1.5.
- Appendices should be more descriptive ,it needs to link to the relevant section.
- Primary data is our own findings, secondary data is literature review. However, I need to triangulate them.
I had added some content and do some minor changes according to the feedback given this week. Finally, Below is my final draft :
