For the first exercise, watch the short animation series and discuss about 3 of our personal favorite in term of genre, style, art direction etc.

Reflection :
Love, Death & Robots is the dark genre, violence and bloody movies/series I had ever explored. Some of the series took me around a minute to figure out whether it is live action or animation. I was very respect and love all the animation and effects used in each series because it was extremely well done and realistic. Although I don't like to watch this type of bloody movies but I had finished all the series.
One of my favorite series was Shape-Shifters. I loved the idea behind this story. Besides that, It had a great visuals and very immersing storytelling. The effects and characters was so real and I took a long time to figure out it was an animation. Although it was very bloody and violence for me too but I definitely respect this short amazing series.

Another one of my favorite was the When the Yogurt Took Over. This is the funniest and peaceful among the all series. It was a good example of what would happen if we ever developed a sentient artificial intelligence. This episode really impressed me.

Watch the full movie Frankenweenie and find out the theme of the movie, analyze the story's theme and how the protagonist's journey is told in relation to the theme.
Reflection :
I heard about this movie's director before but this was the first time for me to watch this movie. It was a 3-D black and white stop-motion animated homage to classic horror movies, is both a quiet, quirky spoof and a loud and crazy action comedy. I think the theme of this movie was about childhood, friendship and family. It was interesting!

Reflection :
It was my first time to watch this kind of animated oil painting film. It was amazing, a total sensory experience. I was really respect those artist when thinking about how much work and effort has been put in order to make this film come true. It's visually stunning but after watching for a while, I felt a little bit dizzy. Essentially, this movie is thought-provoking.

Reflection :
Personally, I like the art and design but the story plot wasn't very interesting. But it offers up an unrestrained, refreshing sense of originality and distinct personality, if not much else. Beyond the vibrant images, the direction does something special with the choreography, the movement on-screen. It is a wonderful feeling of animation, everything brought to life by imagination and the mind.

Reflection :
The story is quite boring at the beginning. But I like the stunning photorealistic animation, it has an amazing visuals and a things for me to admired, such as the phenomenal CGI. However, overall was quite interesting.
WEEK 7
Task 7
Before the class start, we are required to download Scenarist for tutorial class. We should follow the script provided in Google Drive and import it into Scenarist.

Mr. Martin guide us steps by steps and explained to us how to use Scenarist. We need to use this app for the coming Project. However, below is the class exercise outcome :
