Cinemagraph - Surrealistic Parallax
Wonderful Dreams. A final project inspired from random access memory of the subconscious brain and translate into an digital photography artwork. Make a composition in 1080 x 1920 pixels (Vertical Video) size and animate some parts.

First Idea :

tutorial exercises 3

I used back one of my Self - Titled Exercise outcome to continue with this project. Because the required size is 1080 x 1920 pixels, Therefore I have to change it to vertical format.

first outcome

I added some birds and cloud. The original photo frame with the mountain's picture I changed to a circle frame. My idea of the animation parts are making the circle frame rotating, the birds flying and the smoke which come out from my face drifting.

Second Idea :

I downloaded some elements from Google to make another composition design.

second outcome

This is my second outcome. Like a human trying to touch a sun which is made by orange but he can't. The parts I selected to animate were the waves, the orange rotating and the birds flying .

Lecturer's Feedback :

For the submission, we must use at least 30% of our own photography to get more marks. Choose one of those design to animate. Mr. Fauzi suggested me to go with the second outcome.

According to the suggestion given, I chose to go with the second idea. But I have to use my own photography to work it. So I tried to find some photographs I had taken from my phone which suit this composition.

Fuji-mountain, Japan 

I found a photography I took on 15th February 2018 in a vacation. I tried to crop out the mountain to replace into the second outcome.

Other than that, I also took a picture of my hand to replace it to the second outcome. I try to take a similar position and pattern as the element I downloaded to suit the part.

third outcome

After this, I started to animate some parts in Adobe After Effect. The parts I chose to animate were the hand, orange and the birds. I tried to edit the birds fly down and bigger so it looks like flying nearer. Besides that, I planned to edit the orange rotating slowly. The last part I choose to edit was the hand showing bigger then smaller, I also adjusted the opacity.

Lecturer's Feedback:
Don't make the bird fly like that because it doesn't work. The hand I can edit it up and down rather than editing the opacity to express like she need help will works better.
