REFLECTION

Experiences : Last semester I wasn't very confident with my typography skill. Comparing with the first semester Typography, This semester was definitely more stressful and challenging. Although my skills still didn't improve a lot, but I believe that my design outcome were much more better compare with the last semester's work. Fortunately, I had chance to attend physical class for almost half of this semester rather than having online classes at home. Physical class was more interesting and motivate me to do all the heavy assignment. As I always mentioned, I am lacking of confident about my skill and creativity especially when my classmates come out with a very nice work that shocked everyone for their creative idea. I always felt self-abased when Mr. Vinod praise others' work but don't have any comment for my design. This fact caused me gradually lack of interest in this class and feel stressful for the last few weeks when I'm trying to come out with a creative design that could take Mr. Vinod's fancy. Gratefully I had some friends that always encourage me to move on and help me to build my confidence and skills. Although my final outcome wasn't the perfect one but I have tried my best. 

Observation : Thank to the recorded lecturer in Facebook live because some times I will missed some feedback that given by Mr. Vinod when my Wi-fi was lagging. I can review the video as many as I want after the class so that I can double check have I misunderstood anything before I start to edit my outcome. Besides that, I found that design a typeface was a very challenging things. Every steps and particular are very important during the progress. We should be very careful to check up every detail while designing a typeface, every single details need to be study. As a conclusion, I really respect and appreciate the art of designing a typeface or even using typography in my designs. 

Findings : For me, the last project was the most challenging assignment for this module. I faced many difficulties and issues that took a lot of time for me to solve the problems. " We all have our downfall but never give up ", one of my friends encourage me when I was down and about to give up. I found that encouragement was very important even if others wasn't good enough. When 'refueled' by encouragement, we feel the confidence and support others have in us. Some people are talented but some people have to work harder than others. I accept the faith who I'm after this project but I won't give up. Since I am worse than others so I should have tried harder to rely on my own. Glad that I had  chance to met my friends at campus during those few weeks. Although it was short but the virtual learning experience and the memories accumulated from the first day we met each other was memorable and fun. Last but not least, we should pay a compliment to someone everyday !
